“Kasia Banaś’s painting is just like poetry. Delicate, subtle, lyrical, it speaks to us with the beauty of form, delicacy of colors, elaborately planned composition, goes directly to our emotions, makes us longing for something, satisfies our need for beauty. For Kasia Banaś, it is extremely important to present in the painting the feeling of specific atmospheric conditions, temperature and climate of a given place at a given moment. It is a record of subjective impressions, emotions and sensual feelings.
This is also evidenced by the titles, she gives to her paintings, such as: “Hot afternoon”, “Windy day” or “Just after the rain”. Looking at her canvases, we can almost feel the hot air, frost stinging the skin or the mild, cool sea breeze. That is why it would be a mistake to describe her work exclusively as landscape painting. Despite the huge variety of states of nature that she contains in her works, she is above all a painter of impressions, afterimages, senses and emotions.” (Marcin Krajewski, curator, art historian)
