Jacek Mirczak
Jacek Mirczak is an independent visual artist on the Polish and international art scene. He deals mainly with painting and drawing, however, not avoid other media such as photography and film, sometimes combining all of them during performance actions.
He graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Częstochowa. Then he started studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where he joined the artistic group “TeArt” founded and led by Kazimierz Rochecki, with which he carried out happenings, including the opening of the exhibition Tumult Toruński ’89: “Art outside the center”. In 1991, he interrupted his studies and moved to Warsaw. From 2005 to 2011 he was a member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP) and the Royal Photographic Society (RPS). In 2015-2016, he worked with a group of Prague artists “Stan Rzeczywisty”. He is the originator of artistic meetings “Projekt 3×1”.
His works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Poland, Italy, Algeria, the USA, and Australia where they can also be found in private collections.
Apart from art, his great passion is sailing. When not painting, he spends his time at sea organizing and running yacht cruises as a Yachtmaster.Selected group exhibitions
